More glimpses of CHIJMES

Following my much earlier post titled CHIJMES, please allow me to share with you a few more photos of CHIJMES.

I shall dedicate this post to Mistipurple who has been a great supporter of my blog for quite a while. I believe that she might have studied in the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ) when it was situated at Victoria Street? I wonder how life was studying there?

thank you for bringing back fond memories.
the 'gate of hope' where the babies were abandoned, is very near the front room where the old sisters sew uniforms for the students. i remember a particular fragrance which always emits from there. strange smell, not smelly just peculiar to that room and some of the sisters (nuns). what a thing to bring up huh? :)

and the fourth pic may be where i had my art classes. there's a fierce teacher who would throw our paintings and books right over that balcony. again, what a thing to remember! lol!
but, i must add, i had one of my best years there! thank you for bringing back those memories for me, PY! :)
